Conveniently located just off the A483 bypass, I cover many areas including North Wales, Cheshire, Shropshire, Wirral and beyond – delivery of wedding cakes is free of charge within a 10 mile radius of my studio and other areas are covered with a fuel cost which is dependent on mileage.

I keep the cake flavours simple as your cake is to feed a variety of tastes and therefore these are classed as crowd-pleasers but you can go to town with your buttercream flavours to create a unique combination.
If you need any help choosing and if you would like to add a jam or curd, – I’m more than happy to advise.
All fondant covered sponge cakes are filled with your chosen buttercream flavour then each cake is coated in sumptuous white chocolate ganache before your fondant is applied.
Your fruit is soaked in a blend of Brandy, Cherry Brandy and Captain Morgan Rum before being baked 3 months prior to your wedding date.
This allows plenty of time for the flavours to mature. Your cake is then fed regularly for the next 3 months before being covered in a layer of almond marzipan and fondant before being decorated accordingly.
Fruit cake is a lovely addition for people who may prefer ‘traditional’ fruit cake rather than sponge cake.
I have a guide to my portion sizes to help when working out the best combination for your cake.
Generally, cakes are sized with a 2” difference between each tier, EG 6”, 8” 10” however, this can be adapted if necessary and dependant on the design and overall finished look.
My size guide is based on a 1” x 2” portion (sponge cake) which is the standard size designed to be enjoyed with coffee at a wedding. Each tier is approximately 5” tall, unless the design calls for an alternative height, EG an extended tier. (See Fig. 1)
If you would like your cake to be served after your wedding breakfast, just let me know and we can discuss dessert sized portions, which are slightly larger.

If you would like to include a fruit tier in your cake, the recommended portion size is 1” x 1”, so you will get more portions than your sponge cake. Please see the guide below for fruit cake only tiers. (See Fig. 2)

What information do we collect and why?
I collect your name for identity for the purchase of goods and your email address in order to send invoices for payment. I do not take credit or debit card details.
I store your name and email address both as a hard copy (on your booking form) and digitally (in the form of emails or Facebook correspondence that may have been sent for order details and/or Paypal invoices). Any written documentation is kept under lock and key and any digital information is protected by several layers of security and password protected.
All digital payments are processed by Paypal – I have no access to your personal banking details and Paypal will have their own GDPR policies for keeping your data safe.
When someone visits https://nvcakes.wales we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
